Description
The Department of Nutrition, HIV and AIDS was established in the year 2004 to spearhead the greater realization of the Government’s Leadership and commitment in the fight against Nutrition disorders, HIV and AIDS.
The Department has shifted focus towards Nutrition after a detachment of the HIV/AIDS function which has been transferred to the Department of HIV in the Ministry.
Overall Mandate
To provide guidance, strategic direction and policy oversight on implementation of the multi-sectoral nutrition response in the country.
