Veľké Dravce is a village in Slovakia in the district of Lučenec. The village and its farm are located in the area of the Pannonian flora and its southern part in the volcanic area of the South Slovak basin. The fauna is characterized by a lowland character with a share of animal species from habitats of fields and meadows, human settlements, water communities and also elements of forest-steppe. The fauna of the evaluated area is characterized by the penetration of thermophilic Pannonian and Mediterranean species (invertebrates).
Agriculture: In the village area, conditions are suitable for growing traditional products such as cereals, including corn for grain, sugar beet, soybeans and oilseeds. Marginal products in agriculture include the cultivation of vegetables, fruit and vines.
Forestry and water management: Forestry plays an important role in the region. Here you can find a wide range of wild game and fish species, and therefore also wide possibilities for sports, recreational and tourist use. There are also opportunities for sporting and recreational shooting at the official shooting range near the village and sport fishing events at the Veľké Dravce reservoir. Tourism is a prospectively developing industry in the village.
