Administrative Control Authority

The Administrative Control Authority (ACA) is Egypt’s independent general oversight body that exercises administrative, financial, and criminal control over the public bodies. Established in 1964, the ACA takes pride in being Egypt’s long-standing authority dedicated to combating corruption, addressing predicaments impeding justice, co-formulating and implementing national anti-corruption strategies, and raising awareness of corruption's pernicious repercussions. 

 Towards a society well-aware of the hazards of corruption and is able to counteract it, supported by an administrative body that upholds the values of transparency and integrity and is widely recognized as efficient and effective. 

 To identify, evaluate, and curb the adverse effects of corruption in the Arab Republic of Egypt through the establishment of anti-corruption frameworks and action plans that aim at: a) promoting a culture critical of corrupt conduct; b) enhancing the capacities of anti-corruption bodies and ensuring their independence; c) fostering  transparency and integrity in Egypt through engaging national, regional and international stakeholders to realize Egypt's vision 2030 in conjunction with regional and international anti-corruption conventions, namely the United Nations Convention Against Corruption (UNCAC), the Arab Anti-Corruption Convention, and the African Union Convention on Preventing and Combating Corruption (AUCPCC).
