Description

The U.S. Consulate General Toronto is located downtown at 360 University Avenue, on the west side, between Dundas and Queen Street, midway between the St. Patrick and Osgoode subway stations. It has developed a “Speakers Bureau” for our American diplomats to organize speaking events and build institutional relationships with secondary schools in the Greater Toronto Area. The Speakers Bureau Program is a common program of U.S. Consulates and Embassies abroad to engage local high-schools bringing U.S. diplomats and other expert speakers to their classrooms and developing long-term relationships to work on projects of mutual interest.

Our diplomat’s recent presentations have focused on United States-Canada bilateral relations, life and work in the Foreign Service, historical and digital diplomacy, and global citizenship and social justice. Teachers and high-school administrators are welcome to suggest other topics and points of discussion related to their curriculum and course academic focus.
