İstanbul Water and Sewerage Administration General Directorate (İSKİ)

Established in 1981 with the İSKİ Law No. 2560, İSKİ is an independent budget institution affiliated to the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality. In İSKİ, where the Mayor of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality is also the Chairman of the Board of Directors, the Metropolitan Municipality Council constitutes the General Assembly of the Administration. The General Manager of İSKİ is elected upon the proposal of the Mayor of the Metropolitan Municipality and with the approval of the Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change. The General Manager of İSKİ also acts as the Deputy Chairman of the Administration's Board of Directors. Also in the Board of Directors; There are 4 members, one of which is a senior Assistant General Manager. 2 Auditors elected by the İSKİ General Assembly (IMM Assembly) carry out the auditing duty.
