Description
State Agency for Infrastructure Restoration and Development has been founded in Ukraine and is currently in the process of being set up. Its job is to create and coordinate transparent and efficient structures for rebuilding Ukraine.
State Agency for Infrastructure Restoration and Development of Ukraine is the central body of the executive power, which ensures the implementation of state policy in the field of road management and highway management. The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine directs and coordinates the activities of Ukravtodor through the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine.
The Agency is responsible for the state of public highways of state importance (international, national, regional, territorial) in Ukraine, the length of which is 46,600 km. The agency is not responsible for all highways in Ukraine. Regional state administrations are responsible for the condition of roads of local importance (regional, district) with a length of 122.8 thousand km. Local self-government bodies are responsible for 250,000 km of communally owned streets and roads.
