The National Company of Posts and Financial Services (SNPSF) takes its history from the former National Company of Posts and Telecommunications (SNPT).
After a split of the latter, the SNPSF recovered and developed the postal and financial part. It spreads out to develop postal current accounts and the National Savings Bank. This separation is the result of several years of reform of the Comorian postal and telecommunications sector.
IN 1981, Law No. 81-012 /PR of 31 January 1981 gave birth to the Post and Telecommunications Office.
From 1989 until February 2004, posts and telecommunications were managed by the National Post and Telecommunications Company (SNPT), a company with management autonomy (Law No. 89-005-AF of June 1989).
This law conferred on it the status of a public establishment of an industrial and commercial nature endowed with a legal and civil personality.
This status was reinforced in 1992 by Ordinance No. 92 -004 PR of August 18, 1992. Ordinance No. 04/002 /PR of February 2004 split the activities of SNPT and created two different national companies: La National company of posts and financial services (SNPSF) and Comoros Telecoms .
The head office of the SNPSF is located in Moroni in the union of the Comoros, it can be transferred to any other place of the territory of the union by the decision of the board of directors subject to the approval of this decision by the government of the union .
The share capital of the SNPSF is two hundred million Comorian francs (200,000,000). It is divided into two thousand (2000) shares, of one hundred thousand shares of one hundred thousand francs (100,000fc) each, entirely raised and fully paid up by the State.
The National Company of Posts and Financial Services is a newly created company in the union of the Comoros.
It has its headquarters in Moroni, capital of the Comoros. It is a commercial establishment with legal and civil personality and financial management autonomy. It is placed under the supervision of the Ministry in charge of Posts and Telecommunications of the Comoros, on April 1, 2005, by presidential decree No. 04-043/PR.
