Ministry of Defence and National (Ministry of Defence, National Security and Environment)

The Ministry of Defence and National Security upholds the Vision that Lesotho shall be a stable democracy, a united and prosperous nation at peace with itself and its neighbours. 

Its mission is to promote and maintain the highest standards of state security and stability in the national interest by being 'an outstanding intelligence service, a political and aligned to regional and international trends whilst not sacrificing basic national trends and is tasked with maintaining the internal security, territorial integrity, and defending the constitution of Lesotho.
