Espaces naturels régionaux (Syndicat Mixte des Parcs Naturels Regionaux du Nord pas de Calais)

Regional natural spaces (ENRx) is the joint union of regional natural parks of Nord-Pas de Calais. It extends the action of the “Regional Natural Space” association created in 1978. It is an environmental and land-use planning tool run by elected officials from the Region and the 3 regional natural parks. 

ENRx’s missions:

• Relay of regional policies and support for their implementation - Promotion of public policies in the Hauts-de-France region (sustainable regional planning and development, sustainable agriculture, biodiversity, energy and ecological transitions, development of rural territories, etc.)
• Promotion of regional living heritage - Enhancement of domestic and cultivated biodiversity and partnerships with economic sectors concerning the fruit, vegetable, cereal and animal heritage of Hauts-de-France (specific ENRx mission carried out by the Hauts-de-France Regional Center for Genetic Resources )
• Coordination of innovative operations - Project management of regional operations for the population and the economic sector such as “Let's set the scene©”, “Lycées au naturel”, “Around the Orchard, the Vegetable Garden and the Meadow”, “Mécénature© », and European programs...
• Pooling of know-how - Transfer of knowledge and know-how from regional natural spaces and regional natural parks to other rural areas across Hauts-de-France (assistance and advice to elected officials and the population, technical and digital tools, collaborative exchange network)
• Support for regional natural parks - Qualified engineering in support of the region's territories on various themes: legal support, climate transition, domestic and cultivated biodiversity, agroecology, agroforestry, education, etc.)
