Tasks:

• recognizing fire hazards and other local threats;
• organizing and conducting rescue operations during fires, natural disasters or elimination of local threats;
• performing auxiliary specialized rescue activities during natural disasters or elimination of local threats by other rescue services;
• training staff for the needs of the State Fire Service and other fire protection units and the universal civil protection system;
• supervision over compliance with fire safety regulations;
• conducting scientific and research work in the field of fire protection and civil protection;
• cooperation with the Head of the National Criminal Information Center to the extent necessary to implement his statutory tasks.
