Uprava Za Varno Hrano, Veterinarstvo in Varstvo Rastlin (UVHVVR)

The Administration for Safe Food, Veterinary Medicine and Plant Protection (UVHVVR) is a body within the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Food. Inspection control within the UVHVVR is carried out by the Inspectorate for Food Safety, Veterinary Medicine and Plant Protection in accordance with the powers set for food inspectors, official veterinarians and phytosanitary inspectors under regional laws.
At UVHVVR, we perform administrative and professional tasks as well as official control tasks in the field of safety, quality and labeling of agricultural products and foodstuffs, including genetically modified foods, with the exception of administrative tasks in the field of protection of agricultural products and foodstuffs (quality scheme) and quality and voluntary labeling of agricultural products and foodstuffs, which relate to the preparation of proposals for regulations, other acts and materials, keeping registers and records, and reporting.
