The Agency for Higher Education of the Republic of Srpska was established by the Decision of the Government of the Republic of Srpska No. 04/1-012-2-273/11 of 02/24/2011. under the name JU Agency for Accreditation of Higher Education Institutions of the Republic of Srpska. According to the Law on Quality Assurance in Higher Education of the Republic of Srpska, the Agency for Accreditation of Higher Education Institutions of the Republic of Srpska was transformed into the Agency for Higher Education of the Republic of Srpska as its legal successor.

The Agency is an institution that nurtures the culture of quality in higher education in the Republic of Srpska. For us, quality is a process focused on dialogue and development.

The Agency is committed to the principles of the European Higher Education Area and actively participates in European and global quality assurance networks.

The agency continuously monitors and analyzes trends and scientific research in higher education, applying them in its own processes and creating a holistic approach to improving the quality of higher education institutions and study programs as a unique unit.

The agency is committed to a partnership relationship with higher education institutions, through professional support for the improvement of quality in science and education and through joint projects.

The agency is committed to partnering with students, stimulating them to be actively involved in the creation of student-centered learning, teaching and knowledge assessment processes.

The agency affirms behavior based on professionalism and respect, both among its employees and among other participants in quality assurance processes. We reject any form of discrimination and intolerance.

The agency bases its activities on reliability and openness and makes available all information from the scope of its work that is important for the higher education system.

In the accreditation process, the Agency applies verification methods based on modern quality assurance methodologies. We pay special attention to the independence of the accreditation process and the objectivity of the decision on the outcome of the accreditation.
