The Provincial Roads Authority in Olsztyn administers a network of provincial roads with a total length of 1,869.564 km and covers the area of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship with its scope of activity – with the exception of cities with county rights (Olsztyn and Elbląg). It also performs the function of the authority managing traffic on provincial roads. On 30 December 2009, the management system in ZDW Olsztyn was certified as compliant with the PN-EN ISO 9001: 2009 standard. The Provincial Roads Authority in Olsztyn was established on 1 January 1999 by resolution no. 1/5/99 of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship Board of 4 January 1999. ZDW is a budgetary unit financed by the provincial government and operates on the basis of: - The Act of 21 March 1985 on public roads, i.e. Journal of Laws of 2004, No. 204, item 2086, as amended
