Barki Tojik Ojsc (BT) (Barqi Tojik Open Joint Stock Holding Company)

Until August 27, 1991, the assets of the Company were under the jurisdiction of the USSR . In August 1991, they were transferred under the jurisdiction of the Republic of Tajikistan (RT). The company and all its assets are the national property of the Republic of Tajikistan.

The main goal of Barki Tochik OAHK is the production, transportation, transmission, distribution and sale of electricity and heat mainly on the local market in Tajikistan. Deals with the operation of power plants and networks of the republic, the generation, transmission, distribution and sale of electrical and thermal energy in the state.

OAHK Barki Tochik is a holder of a block of shares of joint-stock companies operating in the field of electric power industry transferred by the government of Tajikistan, and also exercises the right to own, use, dispose of property of enterprises and institutions transferred to its management.
