Senior environmental and climate change scientist, with over twenty years of experience in Governmental, Non-Governmental and International Organisations in the area of research, training and international development projects

Solid experience in Global and Regional Climate and Integrated Modelling techniques (e.g; CORDEX=Coordinated Regional Downscaling Experiment of the World Climate Programme)

Experience in the use of Regional Climate Models, coupled with models of ground hydrology, land use changes and crop development for seasonal prediction for the management of water resources and agriculture

Experienced in socio–economic assessment for natural disaster reduction: mitigation and adaptation in affected regions and communities; due to a multiplicity of factors such as droughts, climate change and extreme weather phenomenon

Knowledge of EC development policies, legislation and procedures and familiar with EU strategic programming for co-operation projects, as well as with EC administrative, contractual and financial procedures

Familiarity with EDF rules and procedures, WB, EU, UNDP and other project funding agencies requirements on Environmental regulations and compliance standards

Knowledge of regional economic communities of EAC IGAD and SADC including key development initiatives in the regions

Native Swahili speaker, fully proficiency in English and intermediate level of French language
