Medical degree with post-graduate degrees in Infectious Diseases and Epidemiology; 18 years experience in medical epidemiology and 5 years in clinical as a General Practitioner, professional sectors revolve around Health, Monitoring & Evaluation, Training, and Research. The expert is proficient in English and Vietnamese, holding Vietnamese nationality, with professional experiences garnered in Vietnam, the Philippines, and Thailand. The expert’s education includes a Ph.D. program in Epidemiology, an MSc. in Infectious Diseases, and a medical degree from the University of Tay Nguyen. In addition, the expert participated in significant training programs such as the Field Epidemiology Training Program, with contributions from the Vietnam Ministry of Health, US-CDC, and WHO.

Notably, the expert’s technical support spanned across drafting projects, supervising medical and graduate students, and facilitating various training courses and workshops. The expert served roles from researcher to Vice manager at the Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology of Tay Nguyen, contributing significantly to disease surveillance, especially related to plague, diarrhea, avian influenza, HIV, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and epidemiology.
