About
Christophe Hanne Coulibaly is the sustainability and project manager with a focus on human rights and gender at the Alliance for Responsible Mining (ARM). He currently lives in Medellin, Colombia. He graduated as a business administrator in France and obtained a master's degree in international business in Chile. After several volunteer experiences in social organizations on issues of social inclusion, education, and art, he began his career at Amnesty International Chile. He worked there as a fundraiser and secured a turnover of almost $1,000 USD per month for the NGO. Then, he worked with the United Nations Global Compact in Chile. He coordinated efforts of private companies to implement strategies focused on meeting the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. Later, he worked in Paris in an environmental organization focused on the reduction and better management of waste. At the Zero Waste House, he directed activities with the aim of raising awareness among the local population about the weight of waste management in the fight against climate change. In 2019, he joined the ARM, where he first supported the development of the CRAFT Code -an international due diligence standard for Artisanal and small scale mining-, and its implementation in Africa and Latin America). He worked with different stakeholders to adopt and apply tools, methodologies, and protocols focused on the promotion, prevention, and protection of human rights with a gender perspective. Today, Christophe continues to collaborate with them to reinforce their capacity by coordinating the NGO's training center. He also manages the Tujenge program that ARM is carrying out in the eastern DRC, where he contributes to developing the resilience of communities, and preventing and managing conflicts and their consequences in the territory.
