§  Team Coaching. Project Cycle Management including project formulation monitoring & evaluation. Familiar with IWRM and MDG approaches. Infrastructure, feasibility studies, implementation & M&E projects. Drafting operation and maintenance procedures and manuals. Project administration up to 10 MIL Euros and HR management of conflicts and performance up to 124 staff. Reporting. Humanitarian assistance and relief in conflict and post-conflict countries.

§  Institutional capacity building: TA to local governments and communities on infrastructure planning, organization and supervision. Institutional and technical capacity building for stakeholders to achieve efficiency. Community mobilization and awareness.

§  Training: On-the-job training. Training needs assessment and evaluating technicians’ and engineers’ performance.

Rural Development:

§  Agricultural services: Livelihood support involving local communities, on irrigation and water distribution efficiency. Furrow and board irrigation techniques through practical agronomic demonstrations, practices and applying agricultural mechanization, chemical soil analysis and soil fertilizing. Studying and implementing training on irrigation principles and practices for local government officers/engineers. Irrigation techniques with sustainable water resources and management for water saving techniques and related field services assistance.

§  Irrigation infrastructure: Small-scale infrastructure for livelihood to medium farm enterprise irrigation infrastructure rehabilitation (canals, earth dams, river deviations) using water supplies from hand pumps, reservoirs, gravity schemes and streams. Adapting treadle pump layouts and features to topography for improved efficiency.

Social Infrastructure:

§  Rehabilitation and reconstruction with supervision and logistics: Schools, health posts, hospitals, small rural bridges/culverts, water pipelines and irrigation channels. Tendering procedures and contract preparation assistance. Cost evaluation. Technical supervision of field works. Knowledge of FIDIC contract manual (red/yellow book) and World Bank Regulations; Involuntary Resettlement and Environmental health and safety assessment policy practice.

§  Water supply and sanitation, operation & maintenance, general management: Assessment, study, design, construction, rehabilitation, M&E of urban and rural gravity water supply systems including water treatment plants, pumping stations and related sanitation and low-cost community sanitation. Construction of deep bore holes and hand dug wells. Studies on privatization for water production and distribution services. Technical assistance to improve water utilities’ performance, optimization of performance.
