About
For the past 15 years I have worked extensively in research and evaluation of international development and humanitarian aid programs. I have worked on economic impact of flu pandemics, including COVID-19 preparedness and response. I aim to use economic data, information systems, and implementation science to support evidence informed decision making and improve implementation and outcomes. I enjoy systematizing business and organizational approaches to economic evaluation and value for money (VfM). Prepared tools and guidance materials and conducted training on economic evaluation and health financing for various stakeholders at global and county levels. I am currently an independent consultant and serving as Senior Economist at Save the Children.
I am committed to bridging human health and the natural systems we live in (planetary health). I am co-founder of a non-profit committed to rehabilitation and welfare of working equines and other animals and livestock. Provides agricultural and animal husbandry education to underserved populations.
Specialties: Implementation science, resource allocation, innovative financing, strategic planning, costing, socioeconomic impact assessments, value for money (VfM) assessments, cost-effectiveness analysis, economic burden of disease, national health accounts, co-creation and participatory approaches.
