About

I am a seasoned education specialist with a wealth of experience in the built-up and strengthening of university education and research, Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET), and secondary education in developing countries.

My contributions encompasses policy development, programmes and projects design and implementation, monitoring and evaluation. Being familiar with processes that require multi-stakeholders involvement, I am experienced in interactions with governments, bilateral and multi-lateral donors, and education organisations and partners.

Education, training, development cooperation, capacity building, developing countries are key elements in my professional background. 

So far, I fulfilled several positions including secondary school teacher, project officer, country programmes manager, team manager, policy advisor, policy and research officer, managing consultant, director-founder.

Starting January 1st, 2020 I am in my current position of director-founder of NIKIEMA CONSULTS. By founding my own consultancy firm specialized in educational advisory support, I'm putting into practice my dream of being able to provide qualitative capacity building services to actors in the education and training sector. It is my ambition through NIKIEMA CONSULTS, to contribute to the sustainable strengthening of capacities of education and training in order to make it a vector of inclusive and sustainable development.

Presently, I am engaged with my firm in ongoing capacity building initiatives in support of the following structures: Observatoire National de l’Emploi et de la Formation (ONEF) in Mali; Institut National de Santé Publique (INSP) in Burundi; Faculty of medicine/University of Burundi; Université de Parakou in Bénin; Maastricht University in The Netherlands; CINOP in The Netherlands.

I am acting as director or coordinator in these international projects. 

Besides these roles, I also provides expert input in my following fields of expertise: leaderships and governance, quality assurance, curriculum development, employability.

 Holder of two Master in Geography and a teaching grade as well, I have good command of the following four languages: Dutch, English, French, and Mooré (mother tongue).
