About
After contributing to the development and success of several programs in the environment's emergency sector, both in Spain and in other developing countries, I consider myself a highly qualified person for managing and implementing projects for my leadership accomplishments and achievements in this sector.
These projects and programs, which I directed for more than twenty years, focusing on rural areas have been aimed at reducing the impact of certain environmental disasters, mostly wildfires, originated by natural causes, accidentally or local population’s inappropriate practices, through rehabilitation, education, and training, previous deep global analysis of requests for emergency assistance to the rural sector, working on institutional strengthening and improving governance.
During my professional career managing emergencies, in both the private and public sectors, I have been responsible inter alia for the management of personnel, material resources and financial resources aimed for the proper management of facilities, projects and works performed by them, with public administrations and other entities involved.
I am fully familiar with the organization and coordination of multidisciplinary teams of work developing work schedules, roadmaps and plans according to the rhythms required.
I have extensive knowledge of computer systems, database management, website management, and GIS and Project Manager System in the PMI methodology.
Currently, I am drafting Municipal Action Plans against Forest Fires for municipalities in high-risk areas and advising municipalities on solar panel installations, climate change, circular economy and land management.
In the EU context, I collaborated with the ERCC in missions, simulating exercises and workshops and so I belong to the FAST (Forest Fires Assessment and Advisory Team) from the MITECO which I have been lately collaborating.
I belong to the experts pool of the European Union's Civil Protection Mechanism as well as to the pool of experts of the FAST (Forest Fires Assessment and Advisory Team), Spanish capacity of it.
I consider myself a person with extensive social skills, great initiative and enthusiasm able to achieve good and effective results.
