Mr. Otieno has 14 years of experience undertaking environmental and social impact assessment with more than 8 years of involvement in projects to mitigate both environmental and social risks in hydropower
projects in Sub-saharan Africa. My major experience in project planning, reviews, environmental and social due diligence (ESDD) for energy projects, baseline studies and evaluation of development projects for EU-funded projects, counseling, and working in HIV/AIDS programs. I have also been involved in undertaking projects monitoring and preparing both Urban & Rural Resettlement Action Plans (RAPs).

I have expertise in both quantitative and qualitative analysis of social issues such as the impacts of resettlement for larger hydropower plants in Kenya I also have Knowledge in undertaking HIV/AIDS & Reproductive health.

Other areas are evaluations, appraisals, and participatory community mobilization/participation primarily in development projects.

Mr. Otieno has also been involved in feasibility studies for Environmental/Social Impact Assessments and RAP in development projects undertaking ESDD for mega hydro-
power dams, Waste Water Treatment Plants in Kenya, Uganda ,Tanzania,Malawi & Zambia
