I am a holder of a BSc Degree in Civil Engineering, an MSc Degree specializing in Water and Sanitation and several other international professional qualifications. In addition, I have more than 15 years of combined practical working experience as a Civil/Water Engineer involved in Civil Engineering, Water and Sanitation infrastructure Projects in not only Zambia central Africa, but as well as Southern and Eastern Africa and the Caribbean. I have successfully implemented 5 donor funded water and sanitation projects in Zambia and abroad. I have knowledge and experience in the use of procurement guidelines and standard bidding documents of World Bank, African Development Bank and KFW and other multilateral and bilateral organisations such as USAID that fund Water and Sanitation projects.  Furthermore, I have good knowledge of the existing literature and challenges faced by the Water and Sanitation sector.  Furthermore, I have particular experience managing construction contracts using FIDIC based contract documents.

I have strong experience in providing technical advice not only on Water and Sanitation issues but also on major infrastructure as well including managing Construction Projects activities from conception to realization including computer-aided Design, preparation of bidding documents, analysis of bids and preparation of cost estimates.  I have experience in the whole cycle of Project Management from initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and close out including financial reporting. Additionally, I am able to manage logistics, procurement of Contractors’ services, overseeing of multiple Construction Programs, preparation of progress reports, quality control of construction materials and workmanship in order to ensure compliance to specifications.

Additionally, I am able to classify, prepare and evaluate water and sanitation projects including inception and completion report preparation.  I am able to represent the organization in meetings and liaise with other stakeholders to achieve intended goals. Furthermore, I have working  experience in supervising other Project Engineering staff such as Contractors and Consultants as well as mentoring, guiding, teaching, and building their capacity to enhance their technical skills as well as resolving and managing conflicts. 

As a team builder and leader with experience working in a fragile multi-cultural environment, I am able to manage my emotions, and those of others and their performance.
