Dr. Søren Kristensen is from Denmark and has for over 25 years been working in the field of education and training in a variety of functions – as an administrator of EU programmes, as a project manager at the European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training (CEDEFOP), and as a director of national VET-initiatives and structures in Denmark. He has specific expertise in the field of learning mobility, where he is frequently used as an expert in a European context, both in the fields of VET and Youth, and he has published extensively on this subject. Since 2012 he has been working as an independent research professional, based in Copenhagen, where his focus has been on evaluations and international, comparative research, and where he has participated in many large, European-scale projects both as a national expert for Denmark/Scandinavia and as a project manager/member of core team of experts. He has carried out large assignments in the EU, Greenland and Ukraine, and national-level impact evaluations for Danish employers on projects and initiatives in the field of VET.
