Dr. Oluyede Clifford Ajayi (Olu) is a senior-level, multi-lingual professional offering about 20 years post-doctoral experience spanning research, project cycle & grant management, contract negotiation and partnership contract preparation, agricultural research, and private sector engagement. He has attended several management trainings. He works at the EU-ACP Technical Centre for Agricultural and Rural Cooperation (CTA) based in Netherlands from where he leads agricultural development and climate change projects for Africa, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) regions. Olu has been managing human and financial resources across Africa, Caribbean and Pacific in his present job. These include management of the climate change portfolio for the entire ACP, contract negotiations with partner organizations; project performance management including procurement and financial monitoring that conforms to high regulatory standards set by EU and comparable donors. Olu has lived and worked in several countries including: Southern Africa region (Zambia, Malawi), Eastern Africa (Kenya), West Africa (Nigeria, Côte d’Ivoire), Europe (Germany, Netherlands); and have managed agricultural research/development portfolios in Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Tanzania, Uganda, Ethiopia, Mali, Sierra Leone, Cameroun, Burkina Faso, Tunisia, South Africa, Cameroun, Suriname, Barbados and Fiji. This gives him the opportunity to have a first-hand experience of key issues facing agriculture and rural development in many developing countries.
