In many countries in Africa and Latin America I have been setting up businesses and projects for Enterprises, NGO’s, and Farmer Organizations in the Forest, Agricultural, Food-Processing and Energy Sector.
It is my passion to get the best out of people and their environment. I enjoy adding my knowledge, experience, and network to sustainable activities with the aim to get the most sustainable, solid profitable and best environmental sound results.
In Agriculture I have experience in the development and implementation of parts, and also of complete chains with a focus on business development, agricultural/(agro)forestry production, processing and marketing. Activities were: project and company management, training of staff and management, crop production, selection of cropping systems and processing technologies, procurement of agriculture and food processing equipment, irrigation, agroforestry, forestry and post-harvest activities like fruit, essential oils and cereal processing and local, regional and international marketing and sales.
My focus on Energy started in 1998 with the introduction and usage of Solar Energy in rural development. Apart from bringing electricity for luminance, my aim was to facilitate stakeholders to get access to Market Information Systems, “MIS”.
Nowadays, due to the positive price development and improved technology, my focus on renewable energy expanded to activities involved in Irrigation, renewable electrification of Enterprises, and medium and large-scale grid tied and stand-alone electrification Including Energy Storage.
