My vision for my work in the world is to foster personal and social transformation for a regenerative society, by supporting social justice and environmental change agents in their work.
My work has four main focus areas:
- facilitating diverse stakeholders in an organization, project or sector to reach shared understanding and commitment through events that offer an unprecedented space for mutual learning and dialogue.
- supporting leaders and change-makers to navigate crossroads, big decisions, tough choices and new beginnings through Larry Nusbaum MD's Inner Guidance process.
- helping leaders who are overwhelmed with the state of our world to connect to a greater sense of hope and contribution through workshops drawing on deep ecology, systems theory, and other transformational tools.
- helping organizations in Canada and around the world to design, implement and report on rights-and-results-based programs that more effectively implement positive change for children.
I bring an unusual blend of structure (aptitudes for planning, analysis and synthesis), nurturing (a love of creating a welcoming space and hosting gatherings), and creativity (through voice, movement, writing and intuition). Underlying this mix is a devotion to living from an understanding of the dynamic interdependence of all things. Fluency in three languages and extensive international and multi-cultural experience allow me to bring these qualities to a broad range of local and global settings.
I have an M.A. in International Affairs and have extensive experience in the field of international development, mainly on issues related to children’s rights, human rights approaches to development, conflict resolution and peacebuilding, and gender equality. I am an IAF Certified Professional Facilitator, a Certified Training and Development Practitioner, and also have a Certificate in Adult Training and Development from the University of Toronto.
