Journalism

Over 23 years as a journalist focused on developing countries, especially Africa and Latin America. Extended experience in North Africa (7 years) and Southern Africa (2 years) as a correspondent reporter. Strong experience on the ground. Interpersonal and team management skills. Strong expertise in writing and multimedia content (definition of subjects, angles and scripting, infographics, video editing, social media), interviews, photo and video reportages. in print, web and television. Excellent skills in investigation, research study and analysis.

Communication

Over 17 years of professional experience as a communication consultant on development and migration issues, collaboration with international bodies (European Union, OECD, AFD, UNDP), the academic and public sectors. Production of editorial content: position papers, handbooks, reports, newsletters, speeches, blogs. Editing and rewriting of official reports. Communication consulting including media trainings and media planning.

Teaching

Teaching and mentoring at Paris-Dauphine University, International Journalism, Master degree students. Topics include: ethics in the media, media regulation, Africa’s specificities, African media landscape, situation of human rights, freedom of press, good governance.

My Storytelling

Project stories, personal trajectories of men and women, highlight on development dynamics and major global issues such as climate change, environment, agriculture & food, energy, water and sanitation, cities development, education, human rights, migration – Using all the narrative forms that trigger a human link, engage audiences, position issues, inspire, while sharing values.
