Tamar (Tata) Sakvarelidze has 20+ years of experience in the fields of marketing, communications, and project management. Currently, she leads the marketing component for the GRETA project, Green Economy: Sustainable Mountain Tourism and Organic Agriculture (co-financed by the EU and its member states Sweden and Austria and implemented by the Austrian Development Agency. She also acts as an M&E officer and gender mainstreaming focal point. She supports the development of market systems by working with various stakeholders nationally and internationally. Tamar facilitates the marketing and export of Georgian organic and touristic products to the Middle East and European markets.

Tamar contributed to several sectoral reforms introduced by the Georgian government, such as primary and secondary healthcare and higher and vocational education, by leading marketing, communication, and public relations components and teams. She worked with the Ministry of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Labor, Health and Social Affairs, the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, the former Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, Social Service and Procurement Agencies of Georgia.

Sakvarelidze, together with the LLC Intercontinental, facilitated the introduction of three touristic destinations (Egypt, Jordan, and Goa) to the South Caucasus market. She planned and executed the market entry strategy for various products.

Tamar has outstanding experience in research and analysis, project management, stakeholder engagement, branding, media relations communication, and information frameworks (OASIS, SIGMA), media relations, stakeholder engagement (SEP frameworks), M&E, gender mainstreaming, research methods and analysis, and market systems.
