I have more than Twelve (12) years of experience managing donor-funded and NGO-sponsored education programmes and projects focused on teacher professional development, gender, early grade reading, community engagement, and access to education.
Programme Director/Deputy Team Leader:
Responsible for day to day efficient and effective management of all programme workstreams.
Drafting and maintaining up to date programme plans across all BLF workstreams as directed and approved by the Team Leader.
Day to day oversight of budgets across the project, reviewing and approving spend (up to agreed levels) and escalated issues to Team Leader as required.
Work hand in hand with technical team and finance manager to prepare and execute budget.
Responsible for programme resources (finance and human) and ensure resources are efficiently and effectively managed.
Responsible for the consultants management including approving their bugdets.
Monitoring, reporting and management of programme issues, risks, actions and decisions.
Alongside wider team reviewing incoming reports as required, highlighting areas of concern / interest and overseeing delivery of required actions.
Work hand in hand with the Team Leader to manage consortium members ensuring relationship;
Contribute to quarterly progress reports for the client and contributing to annual reports as required
Ensure Programme governance is functional and actions taken are implemented.
Internal contract reporting these include quarterly business review, highlight reports etc.
Contract management by overseeing compliance with contract terms, KPIs and deliverables for the main contract and for sub-contracts.
Ensure effective program support of all consultants and partners;
Assisting in the development of concept notes and programme proposals and assisting in the appraisal and selection of potential projects and other activities;
Visit field sites to monitor work throughout the entire programme cycle (planning, execution, measuring, evaluation and learning).
Business support management – liaison with wider business units including HR, finance, IT, procurement, and legal;
Oversee safeguarding and child protection activities;
Take up any other responsibilities assigned by the Team Leader.
