About
Atwood, a Fulbright alumnus, has 22 years of total experience, with 13 years in Project and Program Management; 18 years in Strategic Information; 18 years in Design, Monitoring & Evaluation, and 22 years in Data Management and Analysis. He played a central role in the design, implementation, and dissemination of the Haitian health information system (DHIS2 aggregate, DHIS2 trackers, EMR) at both institutional and community levels. He has also been involved in all aspects of management related to health system strengthening. Notably, he successfully led the design and interoperability of 8 health databases, including but not limited to HIV, Supply Chain of Essential Drugs and Laboratory, TB, Maternal and Child Health on the Unified National Health Information System (SISNU). Furthermore, Atwood possesses strong interpersonal and communication skills. He has a sound understanding of working with Ministry of Health Officials, high-ranking staff at implementing partners, and international donors. His experience extends to collaborating with international donors, including but not limited to CDC, USAID, UNDP, Global Fund, WB, and other UN-affiliated organizations. Additionally, he is adept at conveying information to lay audiences and has made valuable contributions to several scholarly articles. Moreover, Atwood has delivered numerous oral presentations at international digital health conferences. His academic background includes an MPH in Biostatistics from the University of Kentucky, and he is currently completing a PhD in Global Health at the University of Geneva.
