About

Frederic has spent the last ten years dividing his time between domestic and international urban planning and engineering work within the private sector, NGOs and United Nations Organizations. Recently, he successfully contributed to institutional support mandates for Haiti’s nationwide strategic planning and post-disaster rebuilding process, where he collaborated with national and local authorities to design national urban development policies and capacity development tools. Prior, he contributed to community planning efforts for the Urban Development Program of UNESCO in India, where he developed capacity building tools and good practices on social sustainable integration for municipal decision makers. He has participated the institutional redevelopment of the urban transportation and road safety policy and legislative frameworks in the DR Congo for the World Bank. He has also collaborated with the city of Dakar to put in place a planning process that promotes long-term urban environmental sustainability. Frederic has comprehensive knowledge of survey design and implementation, stakeholder engagement, and program planning and design that he effectively combines with a systems approach to community planning and project management. Frederic combines a Bachelor of Civil Engineering with a Masters in Urban Planning and a Masters in International Studies. He also processes training in humanitarian crisis management from the International Red Cross movement. He is fluent in French and English.
