Senior Quality Assurance Engineer:

Responsible for establishment of the Materials Testing Lab, conducted design review and construction supervision of Road Project.

Involved in pavement conditions surveys & investigations; recommended/ given optimum/appropriate technical solutions during design review. Managed and monitored in regular basis for the quality assurance of field and laboratory tests on existing pavement materials. Identified local material sources in the near vicinity of the project, and managed for sampling & testing of natural source materials: hard rock, borrow pit material, material from sand quarries and water sources. Suggested for modifications in the mix design, laying methods, sampling and testing procedure and quality control measures. Also responsible for monitoring and carrying-out regular field and laboratory tests maintaining and reviewing quality test result of soils, identifying the quarry and borrow areas and material sources, testing the soil. Inspected and arranged for testing and ensuring that the materials to be used at site comply with specifications. Similarly, sampled and tested manufactured or processed materials i.e. cement, rebar, bitumen, bitumen products, different additives etc. Identified borrow areas/pits for selected fill and sub-base in the near vicinity and checked the suitability of material. Managed for necessary lab. tests on samples collected from the test pits/borrow areas and others i.e. classification tests: Moisture-Density Relation, California Bearing Ratio, Specific Gravity, Water Absorption, Soundness, Los Angles Abrasion, Aggregate Crushing Value, Aggregate Impact Value etc. Prepared detailed inspection and test plans, established the site laboratory. Conducted the equipment calibration, checked accuracy and operation of testing equipment. Checked and performed the mix designs on concrete, sub-base & base course stabilization, bituminous mix etc. Prepared daily & monthly progress reports.
