My background relies on the finance field and interdisciplinary European Union studies. I have a Bachelor in Economy, Finance in Albania and a 12+ year’s professional experience in the field of finance in big companies, from which 6 years besides Western Union Financial Services in Albania in the finance department. My main activities included among others: financial and accounting management, reporting, research, organization and analysis of project background information.

I have also applied my strong research and analytical skills to pursue a Master in European Studies at the University of Parma in Italy. The Master was providing advanced academic training in the field of European Union law, economics and policies.

Following my master I worked in European Institutions such as the European Commission in Belgium and EUIPO – European Union Intellectual Property Office in Spain. My experience in the European Commission consisted in working in the veterinary programs’ Unit besides the DG Health and Consumers where I dealt with the financial evaluation of the veterinary control programs for the Member States, co-financed by the Union. The work besides the European Agency – EUIPO allowed me to work in the Finance and Resources Department dealing with the financial management of the missions, evaluating mission costs and reimbursements. These were valuable experiences for me allowing me to work in a European environment and better understand my career goals and define my fields of interest. 

I consider myself a very motivated person, result-oriented, flexible and easily adapting to new circumstances, with a positive attitude and my intention is to bring my energy, organizational abilities and creativity in tackling problems in the development sector and give my valuable contribution in achieving the desired results and objectives.

I strongly believe that the professional and educational background I have, together with my language skills could be of assistance for some of the projects in this field. I definitely would like to continue working in an international, competitive and dynamic environment such as the Development sector could provide.
