About
Oluwatosin Abayomi is a development specialist with a Bachelor’s degree in Demography and Social Statistics and a Master’s degree in Sociology. He has over 10 years of experience in Programme Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning; Research; and Data Management in Social Protection, Nutrition, Gender and Social Behavioural Change, Governance Reforms, Civic Participation, Maternal and Child Health, and HIV Prevention Programmes.
He has experience working on several donor-funded interventions such as Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), United States Agency for International Development (USAID), European Union (EU), United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), The Dutch Government, Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), Ford Foundation, MacArthur Foundation, and United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Importantly, he has significant experience in Policy Influencing and Government-Donor coordination teams. Recently, he was a Sector Expert (Enhancing Social Inclusion by scaling up Social Investments) for the Mid-Term Ministerial Performance Review Retreat of the Federal Government of Nigeria. Previously, he was a National Researcher on the National Social Protection Sector Mapping & Review in Nigeria at the instance of the Federal-level Technical Working Group on Social Protection coordinated by the Federal Ministry of Finance, Budget and National Planning (FMFBNP). Prior to that, he was an Embedded Monitoring and Evaluation Advisor at the Presidential Delivery Unit (PDU), Office of the Vice President providing technical support on the delivery of National Social Investment Programme (NSIP).
He is a member of International Development Evaluation Association (IDEAS), African Evaluation Association (AfrEA), DevelopmentAid and Social Protection Network.
