Mary is a courageous, visionary, inspiring servant leader who commits to training and mentoring people to are empowered to use their abilities to impact the world. Mary is a Community development practitioner, lecturer, trainer, researcher and administrator with a demonstrated history of working in the higher education industry. She is passionate about teaching, training, sharing and transferring knowledge and has for four years been recognized as the best lecturer in Community Development at PAC University.
Mary has experience in curriculum development in the field of community development. Having designed a Masters of Art curriculum in Community Development and Social Protection. Diploma in Community Development and social work at PAC University both at PAC University. As a stakeholder, I participate in the review of PhD curriculum in Community Resource Management at Kenyatta University
.
She is a seasoned researcher with experience in proposal development, formulation of questionnaires, conducting field research, data analysis of both qualitative and quantitative data using various software’s as well as report writing. She researches on topics related to community development not limited to community health, youth development, food security, community education among others.
Mary is a public and motivational speaker and possesses excellent training and facilitating skills. She is actively been involved in conducting motivation talks on career, relationships and youth sexual reproductive health to youths and teenagers. She is passionate about youth mentorship. Co-founder of Rubys Club Youth Mentorship. Serves as a Student Mentor at PAC University, Sheaves Coaching and Mentoring under the Sheaves Deborah Program and a Career mentor with Flexy Learn.
She serves the community by supporting various youth groups in the community such as Kasarani Community Anti-Drug and Alcohol Coalition (KCADAC). She serves as a Board Member for Gathogo High School as the chair of the Education Committee, also a member of the Technical Committee on University Education Services.
As a community development practitioner, her goal and ultimate professional mission are to equip young people with skills for holistic youth development through training and teaching. To be citizens that utilize their potential and seize the immense opportunities around them as they fulfil development goals in our country, Africa and the globe. The bright future of our world lies in the great potential of the young people.
