A development professional with experience as Chief of Party, Program Manager, and Team Leader.  He has extensive experience in the fields of agriculture and rural development, agribusiness and trade promotion, value chain analysis and feasibility study, SME business development and BDS, project finance, rural development project design and evaluation, SME and extension training and workshop facilitation. His primary expertise lies in feasibility study, value chain analysis, market study, business planning, and project finance in the agricultural sector. He prefers a commercial focus for sustainability of rural development projects, with a particular focus on “getting to scale” in rural agribusiness value chains to enable transformative economic growth in rural communities. Mr. Kruse has worked with a wide range of cropping, plantation, and livestock systems during his career, and has substantial experience from the agricultural economics perspective in horticulture, dairy, rice, small ruminants, oilseeds, airfreight for horticultural exports, and small scale food processing.
