Principal Programme Officer /Ag. Regional Coordinator:
• Developing, implementation and evaluation of strategies and interventions for promoting gender equality and inclusion for women, children, people with disability, youth, elderly and minority and marginalized communities
• Developing and coordinating the Regional office Gender Equality Action Plan
• Developing program thematic strategies in line with the overall NGEC Strategic Plan and programming guidelines
• Preparing and implementing regional office work plans and budgets
• Designing and supporting cross-cutting operational research, advocacy work and public education in the Commission’s Programmes
• Enforcing the implementation of the rights based approaches and the social inclusion and gender analysis in programming work
• Coordinating capacity building initiatives for program officers and assistants, public and private sector for the purpose for promoting gender equality and freedom from discrimination
• Developing and maintaining sustained partnership, strategic linkages and alliances with all the stakeholders identified by the Commission
• Developing and implementing public and private monitoring and audit strategy and plans for various thematic groups
• Identifying new funding sources and generating concept notes and proposals in line with thematic strategies
• Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual program reports
• Overall management of the regional office
• Any other related duties as may be assigned by the Commission secretary.
