More than 30 years of professional experience in the area of customs, i.e. Integrated Border Management (IBM), Customs Procedures, and Cross Border Crime (OCI), Money laundering legislation and counter terrorist financing etc.;

Proven direct experience of work with EU customs authorities( UK, France, Greece),

Experience in provision of policy advice and recommendations related to Border Control, Cross Border Crime and IBM.

More than 10 years of professional experience in managing of experts’ team on complex projects, including EC, US and British funded projects;

Assisted with implementing anti-money laundering and counter terrorist financing legislation and controls in Albania.

Proven experience in assessment, design and delivery of training for Customs and Border Police officers (Immigration Officers)

Excellent communication and reporting skills,

Involved in and contributed to Albanian IBM Strategy document and Plan. Experienced in law enforcement including court prosecution.

Experience in Border management in BiH, Kosovo Cyprus and Albania funded by the EC and USAID.

In charge of OCI and IBM in Albania including Green, Blue Borders and mountainous regions with Kosovo and Montenegro. Experience in developing working relations with Montenegro, Kosovo, Macedonia, Greece (EC) and Italy (EC).

Experience in raising first flexible anti-smuggling teams in Cyprus in accordance with Aquis Communutaire in 2002.

I have experience working in countries applying for EU Accession, Cyprus, Albania and Kosovo.

Seven years experience working in the Western Balkans, Albania and Kosovo including working visits to Macedonia, Montenegro and Greece.

Familiar with WTO (TRIPS) Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights rules.
