Gilberto Muai is an expert working since 2006 in areas such as Geographic Information Systems and monitoring and evaluation accumulating up to date 6 year as GIS specialist and 10 years working as Monitoring and Evaluation specialist in different areas such as food security and Nutrition, Climate change Adaptation and health (Malaria).

A national Monitoring and Evaluation specialist (M&E) with eight years of experiences as monitoring and evaluation for Environmental Mainstreaming and adaptation to climate change strengthening Disaster Risk Reduction and Emergency Preparedness in Mozambique as national programme officer at United Nations World Food Programme, five years of experiences as M&E specialist for Coastal City Adaptation Project funded by USAID for Chemonics International and actually (three years) working as Surveillance, Monitoring and Evaluation Senior Technical Advisor for Malaria Integrated Project funded by USAID to Chemonics International. High capacity to support and develop the M&E plan for different projects and install a digital M&E system based on web, smartphones and SMS. Participation in different data quality assessments (DQAs) including in development of the DQA manual for malaria health program. Advanced native in Portuguese and professional proficiency English.
