The main task and responsibility of Sanag/Sool Regional Representative:
He is the official representative of CANDLELIGHT in the regions.
Will report to the Executive director of CANDLELIGHT.
Will serve as a supportive and advisory role in all ISF supported projects in the regions in the following projects: -
From nutrition – sensitive to nutrition-specific: Improving food security and access to malnutrition services in most vulnerable villages in Togdheer, Sool, and Sanaag,Eastern Somaliland CMAM II project funded by Caritas Switzerland (CACH)
Lifesaving and Protection support to drought and conflict affected vulnerable men, women, girls and boys in Sanaag region of Somaliland.
Somali joint response project (SOMJR) funded Dutch relief alliance through OXFAM.
Desert locust response project DLJR) funded Dutch reloef alliance through OXFAM.
Youth employment and skill training centre at Erigavo vocational training centre (EVTC) funded CARE international through Ministry of Education Somaliland.
Participate the overall design, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of Projects.
Liaise (at higher level) with the regional authorities and visiting agencies, brief them about CANDLELIGHT activities and direct them, if necessary, to concerned departments and programmes. This entails that he should have a details information about CANDLELIGHT programmes in Sanaag/Sool regions.
Coordinate with the various projects activities in Sanaag/Sool by conducting regular coordination meetings for all CANDLELIGHT departments and programmes in Sanaag and Sool regions.
In consultation with the various coordinators and project managers, shall advise the Management of CANDLELIGHT about the developmental needs of the regions.
In consultation with the other staff members, addresses any conflict that may occur. However, in the event he is unable to resolve the conflict, he will raise the issue to his superiors.
He may be required to lead new projects in the regions.
Co-approves expenses with other project officers in the region.
Any other duties assign by the Executive Director.
