With solid postgraduate training and over 13 years of mix of work experience, Nega is passionate and well-seasoned professional working at the intersection of agriculture, natural resources and climate change. His career experience spans research, policy and practice domains with geographic focus in Ethiopia and Africa region. With career objective of providing value-added research and development service, his major thematic and functional areas of interest include climate adaptation and risk management, resilience building, nature-based solutions (NbS), climate policy and governance, climate finance, natural resources management, sustainable land management (SLM), climate-smart agriculture (CSA), food systems transformation, pastoral/agropastoral development, project design (including theory of change), feasibility study, monitoring and evaluation, indigenous knowledge and institutions, science-policy advice, knowledge management and learning, capacity needs assessment, and research management. He worked/partnered with various national, regional & international organizations including Oxfam Int., IGAD, AfDB, UNECA & FAO on projects with geographic focus in Ethiopia and Africa.
