Mr. Mads Christensen has more than 30 years of professional experience including 20 years managing, or participating in, multi-disciplinary Technical Assistance projects in the energy sectors of ‘emerging economies’ countries in Europe, the Middle East, Central Asia and the Far East. He is specialised in energy policy analyses, strategic planning, review of legal and regulatory framework, outlining of key legislation as well as design of measures, instruments and action plans to implement policies and strategies, based upon EU energy regulations and priorities. He has profound experience with  Techno-economic analyses of power, district heating, oil and natural gas systems as well as RE and EE options to optimize sustainable development, development of strategy and policy regarding exploration and exploitation of hydrocarbon resources, as well as oil and gas production issues in relation to underground gas storage schemes. Human and institutional capacity development in ministries, power and gas companies. Training and know-how transfer, i.e. Training Needs Assessment, design and delivery of training programmes and workshops (classroom and on-the-job), and dissemination of results. EU project work procedures, PCM-techniques including drafting of project identification and action fiches.
