Having a comprehensive background in environmental engineering, I believe I have a more thorough understanding of environmental problems with regards to specific areas such as technology, scientific theory and design. In 2019 January, I was extremely fortunate to be a selected as a member of the Chinese Youth Delegation, to attend the World Future Energy summit in The UAE for four days. During this period, I had the pleasure of speaking with experts from all around the world, and saw the live application of advanced technology, which greatly broadened my horizons and further reinforced my belief in the need for a sustainable future. In August 2019, I was also selected to represent Monash University to join the 10 th University Scholar Leadership symposium. I am an enthusiastic and regular volunteer worker, offering my services whenever possible for companies such as BorrowCup (reusable cup volunteer service) to encourage customers to use recyclable coffee cups rather than disposal ones at Clayton Campus every week. Additionally, I am a member of their marketing team, helping to broadcast our project with the aim of improving the use rate of recycled coffee cups and expanding our projects to other campuses across Monash University. In September 2019, I got the opportunity to participate in the 2019 Monash SEED Incubator Program and on the six-week training I learnt how to utilize business strategies to achieve effective sustainability.
