• I have 19 years of working experience in the Fisheries and Aquaculture Sector in East Africa involving research in Fisheries population dynamics, stock assessment and management, Limnology and water quality, Aquaculture Production Systems, Designing & Development of Management Plans for Aquaculture, Fish Feeds and Feed Management, Larval food production, Situation and Value Chain Analysis of the Fisheries sub-sector, aquatic resources studies for improved fisheries Production and Productivity for food and Nutritional security.

• A member of the Lake Victoria Fisheries Organisation Aquaculture Working Group since October, 2018

• In addition to good interpersonal skills and I have rich experience working in international setup with Research teams in other countries including Freshwater Fisheries Research Center (FFRC) of Chinese Academy of Fisheries Science ( CAFS) where I work with domestication of a number of freshwater fishes (2013); Sweden University of Agricultural Science (SLU) –Sweden where I work with summer training course dealing fisheries and aquaculture (2015); Can Tho University – Vietnam where I worked with artificial propagation of Pangasius catfish, Mystus catfish and snakehead fish (2008); Artemia Research and Reference Centre ( ARC) – Gent University Belgium where I worked on larval food production for marine and freshwater fishes; and Wageningen Univeristy – The Netherlands where I worked with Re-circulating Aquaculture Systems ( 2008) among others.
