RESEARCH ASSOCIATE Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA) Malawi, seconded to National Registrations Bureau (NRB) under the Digital Identification (DIGIFI) for Poverty Alleviation Project, from Jan 2021- Present

• Duties Include:

- Compiling and analyzing data related to NRB’s national ID registrations, birth registrations, death registrations and administrative/survey data.

- Conducting econometric analysis and modelling of National IDs and birth registrations data and trends, under the guidance of Principal Investigators for the DIGIFI project, Professors Jessica Goldberg and Pascaline Dupas.

- Creating processes for standardizing, sharing, as well as protecting the privacy and integrity of sensitive data that is owned and managed by NRB.  

- Drafting and submitting to the Director of NRB, summary statistics and analysis reports related to National IDs registrations, expiries/renewals and data issues, with the goal of informing NRB’s policymaking.

- Maintaining productive relationship between NRB and various stakeholders such as National Statistic Office (NSO), Unified Beneficiary Registry (UBR) team, external stakeholders such as UNDP and other government ministries and institutions.
