Dr. Aimé Loando Mboyo, MD, MPH, is medical doctor and public health expert with over 24 years of experience with extensive program management skills, with more than 18 years of experience focused on controlling the HIV/AIDS epidemic in Democratic Republic of Congo, Guinea, and Mozambique. He is recognized Congolese leader among health sector stakeholders and has extensive knowledge and technical expertise on leading the design and implementation of HIV/AIDS programs. Dr. Loando currently serves as the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation (EGPAF)-DRC Country Director, leading the implementation of two large PEPFAR projects including IHAP project (USAID-funded) and Elikya project (DOD-funded) in collaboration with the DRC Ministry of Health. He is supports the scale-up of successful differentiated service delivery (DSD) models in six supported regions in DRC. Prior to his current role, Dr. Loando was the EGPAF-DRC Technical Director. In this role he assisted with the adoption of “Test and Treat” WHO guidelines in DRC and supported the design and implementation of DSD models in EGPAF programs, DRC national strategies, and operational plans. He has strong experience on providing technical assistance to the Ministry of Health on HIV/AIDS trainings, supportive supervision, clinical mentorship, and quality improvement using SIMS tool in addition to developing SOPs, technical briefs, and programmatic guidance. Dr. Loando is fluent in English, French, Portuguese, and Lingala.
