Dr Mats Eriksson is a highly skilled director/manager/expert/researcher working in the field of landscape and natural resources management, sustainable development, climate change impact, adaptation and mitigation, resilience, and water governance. Eriksson has considerable experience in landscape management, soil erosion and land degradation, cryosphere studies, climate driven water hazards, adaptation and mitigation. He has devoted his career to sustainable development, focusing on development issues linked to climate change, water, landscapes and the society, including how communities sustainably can manage and use natural resources while working for increased resilience. He has more than 30 years of experience in the above fields and have successfully led international, multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams of 30+ people for 10+ years. Eriksson is an experienced lecturer and public speaker, often invited by media (radio, TV, newspapers) to explain water-related science to large public audiences.
