About
Dr Ayenor had his PhD in Wageningen University in The Netherlands in 2006. His Thesis was on organic cocoa and participatory learning and action research. As mainly Freelance Consultant, he is an Agribusiness, Agriculture and Rural Development Expert; involved in research, training & development. He has over 25 years of experience in providing technical assistance in investment financing for out-grower schemes and SMEs; facilitating commercial agribusinesses and providing agricultural research, training and development services in various commodity value chains (i.e., Maize, cocoa , cashew etc). He is experienced in organisational strengthening; enterprise development; Outstanding facilitator of Multi- Stakeholder Processes for institutional collaboration, policy development and implementation. Exceptional skills in working with farmers' groups, cooperatives and/or Out-growers and Farmer Based Organisations.
Dr. Ayenor personally drafted His Excellency the Current Ghanaian President's Policy on Agricultural Transformation and Rural Development - captured in the Coordinated Programme of Economic and Social Development (2017-2024). His skills include monitoring & evaluation, Mid-term Reviews and Final Project Evaluation. He has undertaken several action research and development assignments - and worked for several international organisations both as short and long-term consultant in development projects. Current short-term clients include International Finance Corporation of World Bank Group, concurrently with an assignment for European Commission project on "ending child labour and promoting sustainable cocoa production in Ghana and Cote d'Ivoire". He has also worked as lead consultant for several United Nations' agencies (FAO, UNDP and WFP); German-Ghana Corporation, Canadian (MEDA); USAID bilateral projects including TIPCEE implemented by Chemonics International and earlier ones by TechnoServe; UK-Aid and others. Dr. Ayenor has also worked for Government institutions and the private sector (i.e., Jonah Capital) in West, Central, Eastern and Southern African Countries. In Europe (i.e., Netherlands and Belgium) and private companies from UK and United States of America.
