Qualifications: Gerard Halaunbrenner is a holder of two diplomas of higher education, being a civil engineer (diploma by a French “Grande Ecole”) and a holder of a high diploma in economy. He besides received a superior training during more than a year within the SNCF (French Railroads), obtaining a license for the functions of an executive for operation and commercials at the manager level in railroad subjects.

Now honorary senior executive of the SNCF, he worked during 25 years within SNCF mainly in railways operation, both in central headquarters and in operational jobs, in strategic, institutional, commercial, economic functions, in managements of teams (up to 550 persons), and operation of trains. He also worked during 7 years on the French General Commissionership of the Plan, now Strategy and Prospective General Commissionership – France Strategy (a Service of the Prime Minister), as expert responsible for the whole portfolio of transport. He has by now worked for several years as senior consultant on important international railroad and other various projects in association with companies such as Booz Allen Hamilton, SNCF International, WYG International, AXELCIUM, SAFEGE and PLANET SA.
